Song of the Day: Animals as Leaders - Song of Solomon

     Since tonight is Tired Tuesday, and I want to make it Sleepy-Time Tuesday as quickly as possible, we're just going to go with something tried and tested and call the whole thing Tasty Tuesday, OK?



     I know you all know Animals as Leaders. If you don't you should immediately go and chastise your friends for letting you get so behind the times. They've become tech-jazz instrumetal darlings in the last couple of years, and rightly so. While many bands playing 8 and 9 string guitars are only really taking advantage of the low end, guitarists Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes are using every last fucking note on the fretboard to conjure forth their wildest dreams.

     Like today's song, "Song of Solomon" from Animals as Leaders' 2009 self-titled debut. Weird and jazzy while still being heavy and shreddy, this song will reward the listener who employs good headphones. Why not be that listener right now?
