Song of the Day: Trioscapes - Separate Realities

     Happy Sunday night, everybody. Since it was Kelsey's birthday yesterday and we spent the weekend at her parent's house, and of course because she is so awesome, I figure she deserves another song. But as much as I love her, I'm not writing this blog just for her, right? So the challenge then becomes picking a good song that she really digs but that the rest of you should find equally bad ass. Challenge accepted.



     Your song today is the title track from this year's absolutely killer Separate Realities by jazz fusion three-piece Trioscapes. I've mentioned Trioscapes before, and if you're a fan of Between the Buried and Me you're no doubt at least somewhat familiar with them already (given that bassist Dan Briggs does double duty in both BTBAM and Trioscapes), but if you don't really know what they're all about, settle in for eleven minutes of awesome that will make a jazz fan out of you. This album, and this song in particular, has groove enough for days. Sample some immediately!
