I suppose I could probably find enough decent Pink Floyd covers to just keep going that way for the rest of the week, but variety is the spice of life and all that, so let's switch it up just a tad, shall we? Today I've got another cover of a classic song by a similarly immortal band.

Song of the Day: Misery Signals - Us and Them
Under the Covers of Darkness Week continues apace, and today I'm going to keep rolling along with a very specific mini-theme that you didn't even notice me establishing yesterday: heavied-up covers of Pink Floyd songs. Too specific, you say? No way I could come up with another such cover after yesterday's song? Watch me. I've got a good one by one of my favourite heavy bands.

Song of the Day: Shadows Fall - Welcome to the Machine
Under the Covers of Darkness Week continues on this Humpday, and if yesterday we took a step away from more conventional covers, today we take a step back towards them. Not only that, but your cover for today comes from a band that's had a song featured lately. But all of the being said, it's a cool cover of a great song, so you're gettin' it whether you like it or not.

Song of the Day: Pink Floyd - Us and Them
Classic rock week continues here at Loud Noises with yet another band that needs no introduction. Once I settled on this particular band, the choice of song was made for me by the fact that today's song is covered by not one but two great bands - Misery Signals and Between the Buried and Me. Open and shut case, really.

Song of the Day: Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2
I said something yesterday about getting back to business as usual today, but I lied. While fall's not officially here yet for another few weeks, but it might as well: the weather's not so warm, the leaves have already started to fall, and kids have gone back to school. As a show of support with beleaguered students everywhere, and because I myself am a cog in the education machine (albeit at the post-secondary level), today's song is a special tribute for the end of summer.
