Song of the Day: Volto! - Tocino

     What would you get if you took Tool's master skinsman Danny Carey and transplanted him into an instrumental jazz band? Volto! that's what.



     Volto! is a jazz trio that Carey has apparently been a part of for years, and while it's not Tool Carey's muscular, confident drumming is singularly unmistakable. Volto! has a bit more of a jam band feel than, say, something like Trioscapes, but it never veers into pointless wankery. That's always a good thing when it comes to jazzy jam bands.
