Song of the Day: Blur - Girls & Boys

     Nostalgia is a driving force around here at Loud Noises. Some bands, like Sepultura, remind you why you got into heavy music in the first place. Other bands remind you why you got into other genres. Blur is one of those bands.



     Alternative is a pretty catch-all label, but for me it means a certain sound and a certain part of my youth. And I know I'm not alone in saying that Blur was a big part of that movement for me. This evening we have the Shuffle Gods to thank for reminding me of Blur's greatness, in the form of "Girls & Boys" from 1994's Parklife. If you're not moving by the end of this song, check your groovalator, because it just might be broken.
