Song of the Day: Carthage - Blackout

     Evening everybody. Yesterday I said we'd be back to business more usual, and today I intend to deliver with a song by a band that I saw on a couple of best of lists for 2012 for their solid debut.



     Your song today is "Blackout" from the 2012 record Salt the Earth by djentlemen callers Carthage. They're nothing revolutionary, and their occasional use of 8 and 9 string guitars has earned them some internet flak as being nothing more than a johnny-come-lately djent band with their eye solely on the lowest notes available, but I from what I've heard some cool guitar riffs and some decent hooks make Carthage an act that warrants a second listen.
