Song of the Day: Avenged Sevenfold - And All Things Will End

     I think we can probably all safely agree that the new Avenged Sevenfold song "Hail to the King" is pretty meh, at best. Can we all also collectively agree to go back to a time when Avenged Sevenfold was good?



     The only potential problem with this idea is that we might all differ on the subject of when (or if) that was last the case. I won't weigh in on when they started slipping into the mediocracy they've found themselves in, but I will say that at least Waking the Fallen has some good cuts, like today's shredfest "And All Things Will End".

     It's a pretty rockin' tune that has a shreddy, noodly guitar solo into the sunset that's just the right level of cheese to be tasty. It may not be your cup of tea, but at least Avenged had some energy and vitality back in 2003. They sounded relevant. Now they sound at home on rock radio. Hail to the kind indeed.
