Song of the Day: Revocation - Archfiend

If, as I've often said before, Sylosis has inherited the thrash crown laid down by bands like Metallica et al., then they've done so as Britain's representative only. Boston's Revocation is most definitely  current American champion of releasing records that contain 110% of the daily recommended dose of riffs in each and every song.

I've been jamming Revocation's new self-titled record, and it's hella tasty. Fleeted-fingered riffs aplenty, luscious leads, and machine-tight drumming... Revocation is some mighty fine metal. I've already featured a song or two from this disc, but it deserves another day in the sun.

Your song this evening is therefore "Archfiend", just because it's got a sweet little groove in the middle that takes us into the acoustic guitar-instigated outro, if that makes any sense. If it doesn't, just crank the damn song already!
