Song of the Day: Mandroid Echostar - The Precursor

Another band I'm currently diggin' on is going the crowdfunding route for their next release, but unlike fellow Canadians Protest the Hero today's band doesn't have the fanbase to raise two hundred thousand dollars in a few days. So it's time again to show Mandroid Echostar some love and maybe help them reach their rather modest goal of $7000.

Your song tonight is "The Precursor", another cut from Mandroid's self-titled 2012 EP. Want to know how much I'm feelin' the slightly heavier, slightly techier Coheed and Cambria-esque pop metal these guys are laying down? Let's just say they'd better hurry up and record some new stuff, because Mandroid Echostar is only four songs long and I'm almost out of fresh tracks to feature. While we all wait for that to happen, you should first head over to Mandroid's Bandcamp, where you can get their EP for a name your price download, and thence proceed to their indiegogo to unburden yourself of whatever spare change is currently residing in your pocket. You know it's not enough for that latte, but it just might be enough to send a kid named Michael Ciccia to rock n' roll camp.
